Either Side of the River

So, what are you going to do about it?

You seem to comment in self righteousness, Dave. Don't put that on Stephanie as it is not one person's responsibility. I'm sure she posted it for awareness of her readers. Even if we touch one life, Christ is using our light.

dear anonymous,

i don't believe that Dave meant it as a self righteous comment. i think he was asking stephanie what part she was going to take in this. i do agree with you that even if we touch one life we are working for christ ... however, it is not OUR light that Christ is using it is HIS light. please don't take this wrong way. god bless.

It only seems like self righteuosness. I'm not trying to put anything on Stephanie that isn't already there. She knows what she's going to do. Indeed it is the responsibility of all followers of Christ to do His will. Both singularly and as a whole. The Body walks, but the foot takes each step, you know?
I get the feeling that when she posted this quote, it had some bearing with what is going on with her right now. Her reader's awareness is an added bonus to her posting it.
When we allow the light of Christ to shine through us, we can change the world.

Hmm... interesting. Perhaps I should no longer simply post happy and encouraging quotes but instead write entire posts about why I posted a certain quote. Thus I will do it here: At Cru last night we had a good speaker and he ended with this quote. It was encouraging. Be encouraged. Be aware. That's all. No more debates over a single quote, k? :)
