Either Side of the River

"On either side of the river lie, long rows of barley and of rye, that clothe the world and meet the sky, and through the field the road run by to many towered Camelot...." - Lord Alfred Tennyson's, The Lady of Shalott.

Freedom

Lacking stress, responsibilty, and obligation.
Choices.
Options.
Free of things that 'tie you down,'
Ability to soar, to run, to fly.
Trees stretching toward the sky.
Choosing for ones self,
No reason to 'stay,'
Free from Bondage.
Bending the rules,
Hands free, reaching,
Reaching.
No chains that bind,
"You decide,
The choice is yours"
To leave behind what is comfortable,
heading strong into the unknown.
Merging ahead,
With no oppression,
Not held backing.
Going, going, going,
To be relaxed,
To sleep.
Emotionally moving,
Free of stress,
Shrugging off responsibility.
Letting loose,
Cutting loose,
Breaking loose.
Vunerable,
Exposed,
Alone.
To be completely sure,
Completely relieved,
To be free of heaviness,
Free of weight.
No longer suffocating,
No longer dying.
To live,
To breathe.
