Either Side of the River

"On either side of the river lie, long rows of barley and of rye, that clothe the world and meet the sky, and through the field the road run by to many towered Camelot...." - Lord Alfred Tennyson's, The Lady of Shalott.

Las Vegas was good. The funeral was nice. The fellowship was healing. Kari, Christy and I all agreed that it was a good road trip if only it had been under happier circumstances. But I am home safely. I am sick now though. I had a fever this morning and slept for most of the day. I will miss living in community. Its had its bad points, sure... but when it reaches out and wraps its arms around you to comfort and love and heal.... When the founders of Common Fire first thought of this program, this was how it was imagined.

Sis,
It was so awesome to be able to hang out after the funeral service and just laugh and have a great time. That is what Carmen would have had on her heart for us to do. Besides, it is a time for celebration (No, I am not sick!!!). We are to come together and celebrate the life of one who has gone Home, and I think we did that rather well. I love all of you and continue to pray for you. Now about community. If you look past the mtn top experiance of community, you will find that there is indeed community where ever you go. Whether it be in a church family, college friends and peers, or just plain family. God is present in all that we do and His love will protect us and help us in times of need like the Common Fire Community. Just remember prayer. That is one of the most powerful keys in life. See you soon and SAFE Travels.
